Shocking in sound and appearance, W.A.S.P. formed in 1982 and saw considerable success throughout the 80s. The band's lyrics, aggressive guitar playing and intimidating stage outfits and gadgets helped W.A.S.P. earn the reputation of a gutsy, if controversial, heavy metal band. With one remaining member of the original lineup, W.A.S.P. continue recording to this day.
