Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner was given the nickname Sting after a performance in which he wore black and yellow outfit that made him look like a bumblebee. Since then, Sting, for with The Police and later as a solo artist, became one of the most famous rock stars in the world. he joked once that even his children call him Sting.
