Mick Hucknall is the lead singer and altogether leader of Simply Red, a group of English musicians that since 1985 has changed frequently enough to earn them the title of Hucknall's support team. Simply Red made a splash with their very first album, 1985's Picture Book, which went platinum and featured a No. 1 single in Holding Back the Years.
