Formed in peaceful London in 1975 the Sex Pistols challenged everything around them – music, culture, politics – and ignited controversy. Their impact was not only due to their surprise appearance on the music scene, but also for the Sex Pistols' music itself, which although made only a single album, earned the band such descriptions as the definitive English punk rock band.
