About New Order
Vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bass player Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris were left alone, without a leader and a vocalist with the suicide of Joy Division's Ian Curtis. The three quickly recuperated and formed New Order, with the addition of keyboardist-guitarist Gillian Gilbert. Since 1980 and 2007, as New Order, the four have released some of the best and most influential alternative dance albums.
