About Lou Reed
Lou Reed and John Cale met in New York in the early 60s. When Cale noticed that Lou Reed tuned his guitar strings to the same note, something he himself experimented with in the past, he wished to collaborate with him. The two added two of Reed's college friends and rented an apartment, where some of the most influential songs in rock history would be recorded under the name Velvet Underground.
