With his extraordinary powerful voice, Joe Cocker was a popular singer around England in the late 60s and quickly attracted American attention and success as well. Unfortunately, in the 70s his voice changed as drinking problems surfaced. He would still go on to record additional hits, such as the duet with Jennifer Warnes, Up Where We Belong, and others.
