About Ice T
Tracy Marrow, known as rapper and actor Ice-T, is one of the founding fathers of west coast gangsta rap. Taking on a thuggish attitude, his rap lyrics were almost entirely political, proud of his roots in South Los Angeles (South Central). Member of violent gangs in his home in LA, ton which he moved after losing his parents in a car accident, Ice T became obsessed with rap, a career he pursued after encountering yet some additional struggles on the way, including an unpleasant experience in the US Army.
