About Heaven 17
After leaving The Human League, Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware joined with Glenn Gregory, a friend of theirs, to create Heaven 17, a synth-pop band in the New Wave scene of the early 80s. By 1983 Heaven 17 had reached the second spot on the UK charts with Temptation, a single recorded with British vocalist Carol Kenyon. Heaven 17 featured a unique sound all their own, with heavy use of synthesizers and drum machines.
