Charlie Christian is a well-known guitarist and musician from Bonham, Texas that mainly played bebop and swing. Though known mainly for his influence on electric guitar, Charlie Christian was also an important figure in the development of bebop. His contributions at late night after-hours jam sessions at Minton's Playhouse in Harlem in New York City were extremely important.
