About Bonnie Raitt
After her successes during the seventies, the eighties found Bonnie Raitt with no recording contract, and struggling with drugs and alcohol. She worked on a few tracks with Prince, but the material went unreleased. Instead, she finally released the patchwork Nine Lives in 1986, the worst-selling effort Bonnie Raitt released since her debut.
