About Black Flag
The American underground culture of the 80s, which adopted a do it yourself work ethic, toured small clubs across the country and spread among punk rock fans via word of mouth publicity, was largely influenced by Black Flag. This SoCal band was active for about 10 years. Black Flag was and still is referred to as having influenced rock bands of all styles, including Nirvana, whose Kurt Cobain cited as an influence.
