About Average White Band
Average White Band were originally singer and bassist Alan Gorrie, guitarists Hamish Stuart and Onnie McIntyre, sax player Malcolm Duncan, keyboardist and sax player Roger Ball and drummer Robbie McIntosh. With few changes, most notably and tragic of them the death of McIntyre, this is also the lineup that would see the success that was brought upon Average White Band in the latter part of the seventies with timely, sexual and cheerful disco hit songs.
