About Albert King
Born in Indianola, MS, Albert King built his first guitar at the age of nine from an empty cigarette box. At first, he played with different Gospel groups, all the while perfecting his own style. When Albert King heard the music of Blind Lemon Jefferson, Lonnie Johnson, and several other blues musicians, his fate was sealed and he played the blues alone.
