About Al Green
Already at the age of nine, Al Greene formed a gospel quartet called the Green Brothers. The Brothers toured the south, performing at church venues and the like, until the family relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan. There, the brothers continued to tour, but when his father heard Al green listening to Jackie Wilson, he took the boy out. It seemed that his musical career was doomed.
